BIM Detailer

Location: Temecula, CA
Salary Range: $83,000 - $108,000
Schedule: Between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (start time flexibility within this window)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced BIM Detailer to join our team. This role is responsible for modeling and coordinating projects from start to finish using the latest technologies, Virtual Construction Standards, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will deliver highly accurate, efficient, and coordinated project models while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute detailing for Mechanical Piping, Process Piping, and/or Plumbing systems.
• Optimize system layouts, improve routing, reduce fitting usage, and detect design conflicts.
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and minimize project risk.
• Read, interpret, and extract information from contract documents including plans, specifications, and submittals.
• Create and coordinate 3D models using Revit, CAD, and other BIM tools.
• Participate in coordination meetings and collaborate with BIM teams, project managers, and leadership.
• Generate layout point files for Trimble and Topcon.
• Provide support to other detailers when needed.
• Maintain consistent communication with PMs, foremen, fabrication teams, and external trades.
• Manage model uploads, documentation logs, RFIs, and related project documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant field experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background in Mechanical Piping, Process Piping, and/or Plumbing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with:
  • Autodesk Revit, Fabrication, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 Glue & Docs
  • Bluebeam Revu, BOX, Smartsheet
  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Forms)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Relevant local, state, and international building codes

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

• Experience with Dynamo, Forge, Python, Revit API, C#, VB.net, or F#
• Trade school education
• Spanish language proficiency
